Some good choices, some off target. But that's
what gets us talking on a Sunday morning.
Hunter on his high horse
Hunter S. Thompson praised Patrick Roy in his
espn.com column this week - and seriously dissed Denver for getting
on Roy's case in October for the domestic violence hubbub.
"Denver is a very bad town for suddenly being
stigmatized and gossiped about in the usually churlish media,"
Thompson writes. "You don't have to spend too much time in
Denver to understand there is a distinctly Hyena-like quality about
the People. Indeed, the troubled history of Denver suggests very
strongly that these people have an overweening habit of turning
savagely on each other, given even the vaguest excuse or cheap reason."
